PuroClean Fire & Water Damage Recovery – Commercial & Residential Water Damage Specialists

In Northern California water damage can be a problem throughout the year. At PuroClean Fire & Water Damage Recovery, we take water damage restoration seriously each and every day. Call 877-567-PURO (7876) for immediate water damage services in Sacramento County, El Dorado County, Tahoe and all surrounding areas. We offer 24-hour emergency response, because whether you have suffered water damage in your home, or your business, time is your worst enemy.

When you’ve had water damage, you’ve got to take immediate action. Allowing a wet carpet, wall, areas under and behind cabinetry/vanity, flooring or furniture to remain wet is only an invitation for future problems, mold colonization and added expenses that will most-likely not be covered by insurance. Allowing a structure to soak will only cause further damage, a tougher job for water damage contractors, and a much more costly job for your insurance company. If a building is wet, a professional should be called immediately for water removal or extraction of water as soon as possible. When professional water restoration begins, all areas affected by the flood damage must also be professionally dried as soon as possible; a job that a shop vac and household fans will not be able to handle.

If it’s wet, we can dry it!

We specialize in Water Extraction, Structural Drying, and Contents Drying. Contact PuroClean Fire & Water Damage Recovery, and we can help you start the process of water damage clean up before the damage from water worsens.

To minimize damage before we arrive to fix the water damage, consider taking these remediation steps:

• If possible, identify and eliminate the water intrusion or leak source, calling a plumber if necessary.

• Sort through wet items, identifying and setting aside items that you would like to restore and salvage.

• Remove water from wood furniture.

• Place aluminum foil or plastic between furniture legs and wet carpet.

• Turn on Air Conditioner in summer or heat in winter, temperature should remain between 72 – 76 degrees.

To avoid making matters worse – Please DO NOT:

• Leave wet fabrics in place; hang them up to dry as soon as possible to prevent mold growth.

• Use your household vacuum to remove water – this is a serious electric hazard.

• Use TVs or other appliances while standing on wet carpets or floors, especially on wet concrete floors.

• Do not put wet contents on top of dry contents.

• Do not hesitate to bring in professional help! If you have standing basement water, improper extraction could cause serious structural damage. Even if only for a free estimate, call PuroClean Fire & Water Damage Recovery; we are available twenty four hours a day, every day of the year (even holidays) for repairing water damage.

Repairing Water Damage: Are you covered by insurance?

A good rule of thumb: water that comes from the top down is generally covered by your home or renters insurance, but when it comes from the over the ground, sometimes flood clean up might not be covered. Every insurance policy is different, and PuroClean can work with your insurance agent and/or adjuster to help determine your specific coverage for any needed flood restoration. Flood insurance should be strongly considered by every homeowner. Statistics show 27% of losses occur in areas that are not deemed to be “official” flood zones.

Even a small house flood (just a room or two, or even a partial flooded room) can cause serious damage to your home. So it’s important to have a good water damage restoration IQ. If you haven’t done so in a while, be sure to review your homeowner’s insurance policy with your agent so you know what is covered and what’s not, and be aware that all homes are at risk for floods from broken water pipes, toilet malfunction, dishwasher failure, washing machine overflow, and other sudden and accidental occurrences.
